Speaker pHAT + HDMI

I saw that installing the Speaker pHAT disables internal audio, but does that refer to only the onboard 3.5mm jack, or ALL audio, including HDMI?

Ideally I want to get audio via HDMI if connected to HDMI (and pHAT disconnected), but if running on a separate screen like the Pi Touchscreen then sound would come from the pHAT.

Possible?

There is, as far as I’m aware, no reason why you can’t run Speaker pHAT alongside the regular 3.5mm onboard jack, or the HDMI.
