Hi,
I wanted to use the new pimoroni explorer rp2350 board with arduino ide. Initially i had no idea how to get it working initially but i managed to find arduino-pico that has a board setup for our pimoroni explorer.
While i could program the board now i had no way to drive and use the lcd display. But with the help of claude.ai and based on the original drivers of pimoroni st7789 driver i managed to create a databus and display driver so we can use this in combination with arduino GFX library and it seems to work fine with my testings.
I’m now able to use the pimoroni explorer board from within arduino ide and display things on the screen. I still need to check on the buttons but that should not be so hard
With a simple test setup with drawing to buffer / canvas (from arduino gfx) i’m getting about 74 fps the buffer / canvas seems to be needed as when i was drawing without it the screen flickered a lot.
