Using Tufty 2040 as an image browser

So I got it last week and have been looking around to see if I can use the buttons on this to display images stored on the Tufty 2040.

I did find some discussions about this here and there but they don’t see to work nor do I get how to fix it.

Please be more specific about what is going wrong and which method are you trying to follow.

The main problem is the size of the buffer if you want high quality pictures. Reducing the available colours with a reduced palette allows more space but image quality is much reduced.

Trying to load some images onto the Tufty and then use the buttons on it to advance though the images.

When I run it, the screen looks all crazy and it might be the image buffer.
