Badger 2040 display discontinued?

Hello,

I’ve kept my Badger 2040 as a static badge for a few years and have finally gotten around to adding more content to it. The only issue I’ve run into is it seems like the display flex cable has broken after a few years, as the rp2040 responds but the display does not refresh. I saw the replacement display available on the Pimoroni store here, but it appears to be out of stock so I double checked for the part number elsewhere (ED029TC1) and found Panelook to suggest that it’s been discontinued by the manufacturer. Is this true? Does anyone happen to know of any compatible replacements?

I think I have a note somewhere from Pimoroni that they discontinued the Badgers (and Inky-Pack) because the panel had been discontinued. You will find similar panels on AliExpress, but the interface is not well specified so chances are low that they work with the Badger.
