Hi all - I’ve just been trying to fit the official M.2 HAT+ to my Pi 5 with the Pibow Coupe case and while the holes for the standoffs seem to be in the right place - I can’t seem to secure them from underneath as it looks like the provided screws are too short to deal with the layers of the case?
I’m confused as the Pibow Couple is meant to be ‘Fully HAT compatible’ - is this just a case of needing to get longer screws and if so - does anyone have suggestions for how long they need to be and where to best source some, ideally without having to shell out for 100s when I just need 4! 🙄
Edit: would these potentially be what I’m looking for? Pretty frustrating that shipping would double the cost if so😢
Thanks @alphanumeric but it isn’t quite I don’t think - I’ve got standoffs that came with the M.2 HAT+ and seem to be the right size and fit into the holes on top of the Pibow Coupe case, the problem is the screws that need to be inserted underneath the case to attach the standoffs to the Pi. It seems like they might just be too short as when I put them in from the bottom, I can’t see them poking up into the holes.
The screws for the boosters you linked seem to be 6mm so around the same size as the ones I’m trying to use 😔
I remove the bottom layer of the Pibow case and put the screws just through the Pi, is that what your doing? I put the bottom layer back on once the standoffs are screwed in place.
