Hi,
Asking for the process for getting replacement for a faulty PiTFT+. Put the PiTFT+ on a Pi 3 in the made to measure PiBOW and got the screen operation without much difficulty but could not get the touch screen functioning.
Reading adafruit’s helpful documentation and support forums I installed their image with the same result then did as suggested and took a close look and the board. A magnifying glass showed that the connector for the resistive screen was cracked and at least one track broken. Here is a photograph of the fault .
Looks to me very much like the cable was too short and thus was bent too sharply when the board was assembled.
Let me know what needs to be done to get a replacement.
Many thanks,
Alistair
