Pibow case + Adafruit PiTFT 3.5in screen - screen crooked?

I got a Pibow case for the Adafruit PiTFT 3.5in screen + a Raspberry Pi 3.

I left out layer 7 and put on the larger of the two clear top pieces. Everything works, including the screen, and all of the ports seem to be accessible. But the screen is somewhat cocked at an angle. How do i get it to lie flat?
