I’m interested in getting the hyperpixel4 touch, for my application I am curious about one aspect. On the back it shows the FPC connector, does this screen require the use of the GPIO or can it use the ribbon connector with the RPi 4? I’d like to save the GPIO pins if possible and ribbon would suit my needs better anyway. Thank you for any advice, it is appreciated.
The Hyperpixel uses “ALL” of the GPIO pins. The small connector on the back is to connect other i2c devices. It’s not used in normal operation.
EDIT: To remote mount it with a ribbon cable your going to need a male to female ribbon cable. Or use something like the Mini Black Hat hacker.
