Inky (212x104) Yellow pHAT Chip, documentation?

I’m looking at the Inky Python library on GitHub, and the “Inky” class sends some commands that I can’t find in the SSD1608.pdf data sheet I found on Adafruit’s site.

Does anybody know if the driver chip for the early yellow pHATs is an SSD1608 and/or where more documentation might be found?
