I purchased one of the Pimoroni HDMI 8" IPS LCD Screen Kits on 4/21 from Adafruit. They directed me here for support. I took it out of the box yesterday to give it a test run with the Pi that it will be used with. The Pi is running from POE while the display is connected to a 5V, 2A USB supply. The display illuminates and shows the output from the Pi, however within a few seconds of powering up, the display goes dark. The display’s driver board seems to be getting very hot and is exhibiting that telltale burnt electronics smell. Any ideas on the best path forward?
