My interesting idea... can the RP2040 be used as a co-pro

With the shortage of SOC chips for the RPi zero w 2, is there any way that you could use an RP2040 as a co-processor to boost the ‘power’ of the zero / zero w 1?

I am thinking that if you could offload certain processes to 1 or more RP2040 then the main cpu would be able to do more.

You can certainly use a RP2040 to outsource processes from a Raspberry Pi. Build HAT does this to drive its motors and stuff IIRC: Raspberry Pi Build HAT - Pimoroni
