The software install and setup was so easy. It sets up the service for you so its starts all on its own on boot up. I Pi Mini Hat as I wanted the display so I can see what’s happening just having a glance. I added the pumps for the auto watering. The hoses are held in place with some bent knitting needles and a few zip ties. Two out of three are going good. I put one seed in each pot. It was a pack of six seeds for 60 bucks Canadian. There were two seeds of each of three different types. I have it set to water at 70%. The Pumps are set to 100% speed and the max time on, I forget what that is?
I went with a Pi 3A as I had one sitting there doing nothing. It’s in a Pibow Ninja case. It’s just heavy enough that it doesn’t slide around. Doesn’t look too bade either IMHO.
