my firsat project with my daughter it the Hat, but she wants it offset, no on the Pi, , , is there a cable , if so reference please, , I have a diffuser for it, , , can I just bolt it onto a wooden board with the diffuser over the top,

In answer to your second question, you could indeed bolt it to a bit of wood, as long as you run some beefy wires between the required pins from the HAT and the required pins on the Pi.
