Old model: does not power on

I have the older model that I purchased with BYO screen. I bought a 12.1” Enoyo LCD screen that is 16:9 and HD.
When I attempted to use the screen’s board, it does not seem to turn on. The Picade board seems to blink and the speakers make a snapping noise. The Raspberry Pi is red and the screen stopped powering on.

Any ideas?

Can you clarify if the Pi works correctly without the screen in the mix?

How are you powering/connecting the screen? Photos might help.
