Did you make sure to run the one-line installer after you put it on your Pi?
curl https://get.pimoroni.com/onoffshim | bash
Edit: I moved your post over to “Support”, since this could be an issue future people need help with. :)
Yes. I do it.
Now I can’t do a shutdown: if I do it from ssh terminal, then I get a reboot.
How peculiar. It sound like your TFT display may be pulling on BCM 17 constantly, although, according to Pinout, it shouldn’t touch it!
Is this your board? https://pinout.xyz/pinout/pitft_plus_35
Yes. It’s that one. From Adafruit
Peculiar.
Did you use a fresh install of Raspbian Jessie/Stretch, or was their pre-installed packages.
Sometimes, old pages can still be pulling on GPIO pins that they shouldn’t do, and triggering things they shouldn’t.
Oh, and don’t forget to double check your soldering. Could you perhaps post a picture up so we can see what it’s like?
Thanks!
Ok! I was a little (or a big) silly. As you told: The problem has been the soldering.
Now it’s working perfect with PiTFT 3.5
Thanks And I sorry
No problem at all! :D Glad it’s working now.
