Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has been able to get the Pan-Tilt hat to work on Ubuntu? I realize from the install that it is officially unsupported, but the libraries are Python3 - I am trying to figure out what additional libraries would be required to even attempt to port to Ubuntu…
Any suggestions would be appreciated… the idea is to set up CCTV that is motion activated and would follow the motion, activating the camera when there is something to capture
I use mine with Motion Eye OS. You can set it up to detect motion and take a picture or record a video when it detects motion. It won’t track the moving object though.
The video stream is viewable from a browser over your LAN. I can manually pan and tilt it from the web GUI. It’s a bit of work to setup the action buttons for pan tilt though.
