Pan Tilt Hat sh: can't access tty; job control turned off

I have connected the Pimoroni Pan Tilt Hat to my raspberry Pi as suggested here:

When I boot up my Raspberry Pi I get a rainbow screen and then the below message:

“Can’t access tty; job control turned off”

I am unable to move from this screen unless I restart my Raspberry Pi without the Pan Tilt Hat connected.

I have tried adding avoid_safe_mode=1 to my config.txt but that has not helped.

I have also updated my raspberry pi using below

Any help would be much appreciated!

What type of Pi is this?

What power supply are you using?

It’s a Raspberry Pi 2 model B v1.1

I’m using the micro usb from the mains power as my power source

What’s your USB power supply? Is it the official Raspberry Pi supply? Otherwise, does it have any text on it? Could you snap a photo?

Can’t find any fault with that, 2A is a little on the low side for a Pi 3 with add-ons, but the servos on PanTilt HAT shouldn’t take that much current.

What happens if you start up with PanTilt HAT connected to your Pi, but the servos disconnected from the HAT?
