Pico Display Static

I got the pins on my pico soldered on and the display connected and had started testing out the micropython image. Everything was working fine https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Etumb58XIAwIKSW?format=jpg&name=4096x4096

Then I pulled the usb out of the pico and plugged it back in and all that is now displayed on the display is static - https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EtumiYOXUAEHs6c?format=jpg&name=4096x4096

Flashing with micropython gives me a working pico (the screen stays in its default state). Flashing the piratey micropython gives me screen fuzz and no connection from thonny, does anyone have any idea’s what might be wrong?

Here’s a couple of images of my soldering as it’s been many years since I did any - https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EtunUhJXcAIny9N?format=jpg&name=4096x4096 & https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EtunXdDXMAYAXx9?format=jpg&name=4096x4096

Are you just running the unmodified Pimoroni code for the display? I’ve seen it do this when the display is initialised but not actually given any data to show.

Try resetting the flash memory (scroll to the bottom of the Utilities section) and then re-flashing Pimoroni’s MicroPython firmware.

Thank you so much Shoe, that got it working!
