Pimoroni Plasma2040 for rehabilitation post surgery

Quite proud of this: I’m working with a physiotherapist on a series of devices for rehabilitation and I’ve just been sent a video of a patient who has gone through 4 surgeries on the left hand:

It’s a plasma2040 connected to an IO expander (both from pimoroni, of course). The buttons are normally used doorbells (they’re from a hardware store) and offer the right amount of physical resistance and biofeedback.

It’s an ongoing project and one which I am really enjoying working on. In the next itineration I want to connect the device to an app which gives you data on your performance like left vs. right hand, average response time, etc. and a few techniques to create a feeling of time pressure, like a countdown, some beeps, etc.
