Pirate Audio Hat MIDI SamplerBox

SamplerBox is an electronic musical instrument. Drop audio samples onto it, hook up a MIDI keyboard, and you’ll be able to play with realistic piano, organ, drums, etc. sounds.

I created a website with complete step-by-step instructions for creating an inexpensive up-to-date SamplerBox using the Pimoroni Audio Pirate Hat – with no wiring or soldering required.

Thankyou for that. I’ll be having a look see, for sure. I have the Pirate Audio Hat setup with a Piano Hat and Drum Hat. Its an Itty Bitty Beat Box for my grand daughter to play with.

Right now the display does nothing, as it was originally intended to use a Speaker pHat. You can’t get those anymore so I had to improvise and use the Pirate Audio instead.

This is a genius idea, I hope it will work for me.

Ive had the pirate board since tgey were first announced, but everytng at that time, was about streming and that was very specifically not want I wanted todo, I have a ginournous library of audio.

I know I should have built the streamer, gotten familar with the board and learned to adapt…but I didnt.

on the other hand Ive tried the Samplerbox several ways from sudy and had zero luck, IM sure it has something to do with my end of it, BUT this is such a natural fit tat I have high hopes.

Thanks

Should work following my website’s step-by step instructions. Which model Raspberry Pi are you using?
