Please help this Great Grandpa with an ortder for his 10yr old grandson

Due to advanced years a Pimoroni Pi may be the last Xmas present that I can give my grandson and I want it to give him pleasure and teaching for at least the next 5 years!. His dexterity, mathss and logic ability is ahead of his years - hence my choice of a Pi. It has taken me 2 days to compile my shopping list but I may well have missed a crucial component or double up. Please will a kind member cast an eye over it and check if I have made any errors

My great-grandson has a tech-savvy Dad who can help get started and download any extras or simple projects

You have both Raspberry Pi Single Board Computer items and Raspberry Pi PICO Micro Controller items in your list. These are two distinctly different devices that use different addons. Some addons will work with both, some won’t? They also operate very differently.

If your going the Raspberry Pi SBC route then I’m thinking that first item in the list should be a
Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W – Pi Zero 2 WH (pimoroni.com)
Not the
Pimoroni Pico Plus 2W
And if that’s true, there are some other Pico related items that can be removed.

Many thanks, alphanumeric . Your findings don’t surprise me and I will prune the list accordingly

Starter kits aren’t a bad way to go when buying for the first time.
Raspberry Pi Zero W + Essentials Kit – Zero WH (pimoroni.com)
This can come in very handy too.
Three Port USB Hub with Ethernet (micro B) (pimoroni.com)

Many thanks for this advice. I now have a shorter (and less expensive) shopping list
