PN532 NFC/RFID controller breakout board with pi

Hi All,
I bought this board and am having troubles getting SPI working. I found this on the web:
pn532pi · PyPI which says I won’t be able to drive this off the pi’s 3.3 supply.

Before I go wading through the data sheet, does anyone know if I am meant to be providing 5 volts to this board via that pin labeled “5.0v”?

Yes, it turns out it uses 5v from the pi, not 3.3 :
