Question about Moldova Shipping Options

I noticed that the standard shipping method for Moldova (Republic of) is no longer available– I can only choose UPS, the cost of which is very high at around 50 euros. May I ask why the other shipping method was removed?

My guess is that, since it was untracked, some customers didn’t receive their packages (this happened to me once). The issue was that the postal office doesn’t send notifications unless your phone number is included in the delivery address. Alternatively, you can visit the postal office every few days (2-3 days) to check whether your package has arrived– that’s what I used to do.

Personally, I’d be fine if that shipping method were reintroduced, even without refund eligibility. There have been many times I wanted to place an order (for example, the Pimoroni Presto or the new Inky Impression display) but decided against it due to the high shipping cost.

You’re probably better emailing the Pimoroni team on support@pimoroni.com. Some of the engineers are here on the forum, but you’re more likely to get a reply from that email inbox I think.

Shipping to Germany also has doubled after removing the non-tracked option.
