Hi, can you please ask EarlePhilHower, owner of the repo arduino-pico, to add the Pimoroni Pico LiPo 2XL W board to the list of variants.

More than a month later. Does Pimoroni support still exist?

We certainly do - I’m afraid we might be of limited help here though as Arduino IDE isn’t an ecosystem that we’ve done a lot with or officially support.

You could submit a pull request to add the Pico LiPo 2 boards to arduino-pico? I found a contribution guide here that shows you what files you need to supply to add a new board: arduino-pico/docs/contrib.rst at master · earlephilhower/arduino-pico · GitHub

Looks like Pico Plus 2 and Pico Plus 2 W are already added, so you could also have a look at the files for those to give you an idea of the formatting:
