should this combinations work?
RPi Zero W + pHAT DAC + Raspbian Jessie with PIXEL (2017-03-02)

Used this script: https://learn.pimoroni.com/tutorial/phat/raspberry-pi-phat-dac-install , but did not worked.

the only step you should follow from that somewhat old tutorial is the automatic setup. The rest is no longer necessarry and could cause problems (a lot of it was necessary under Raspbian Wheezy).

Unfortunately Pixel is very ruthless in the way it tries to ‘rectify’ any audio configuration, so the more you try to manually edit configs the more likely the result will be broken or ptherwise non-fonctional.
