Update Os and update Chromium

Dear Citizen,

I am refreshing myself with my daughters Pi, Chromium is not working so I have tried to update everything but chromium is still not working, I am not convinced that I have updated it,

please advise, all the info online is for installing and i dont want to install over it ??

should i be doing somthing like this ??? or pixel fresh OS ???

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo apt-get install -y rpi-chromium-mods
sudo apt-get install -y python-sense-emu python3-sense-emu
sudo apt-get install -y python-sense-emu-doc realvnc-vnc-viewer
