Using a camera module with official Pi 5 case

Been tasked with teaching my niece about computing and all that sort of thing so I sent her a Pi 5 with the official case.

She’s more interested in drawing cute cats on the case :) but finally persuaded her she can build a cool robot that shoots lasers to annoy her little sister.

First step would be to teach her robot to recognise people so we want to buy a camera module.

Not having a Pi case, is there a way to fit a camera module with the case?

There’s a little small gap between the upper and lower white parts of the case. I think it is mostly intended for ventilation, but if you’re careful with the camera’s flat cable you can slip it between the two. I’ve not actually run a camera like that, but I can’t see why it wouldn’t work provided you’re gentle with it.
