I am designing a pHAT that I want to install a (female) hammer header in. I have used a drill hole size of 1.3 mm. Will this size work with the hammer header? Thanks.

The headers are designed for 40mil or 1.016mm holes, but a PCB manufacturer may use the closest available drill bit so you can’t always count on the holes being exactly the right size. You should ideally also use ENIG plated coating, since the cheaper HASL can introduce even more variation to the hole sizes.
