Getting First Game Working

Hi All, I’ve built the lasted Picade 8" Pi4 version and am satisfied that the hardware works correctly. It has Emulation station, again the Pi4 build. Ive setup the buttons in emulation station. I used the forum links to upload 3 free arcade games.

Once selected, it displays the following message and drops back to the menu. I’m missing something that must be blindingly obvious to someone - but not me!

You might want to try the RetroPie forums as well, as this problem might not be Picade related.

It may be that you’re using the wrong emulator for the game ROMs that you have. If you look into this you’ll find it’s a bit of a can of worms, I certainly found it confusing at first.

You can press a key when you see the splash screen to try a different emulator.
