HyperPixel 4 Square on RPI 4 DSI connector

Hi,

Sorry if this is a repeat question but I have found conflicting information online…
Can the HyperPixel 4 square (non-touch) display be used via the DSI connector of the raspberry Pi 4?

I understand it uses the GPIO as a parallel interface by design, but as I need the GPIO I was hoping someone had documented some luck with custom connector /adapter and driver. It seems a bit limiting to not be able to use any other GPIO functionality if you choose to use this display…

As far as I know, no. Using all of the GPIO pins is a tradeoff for the High-speed DPI interface. It’s why it performs so well.
