From contacting support: I’m afraid that the NVMe base doesn’t fit within the official case, but we should be making a slightly altered version of our Pibow 5 case for use with the NVMe base sometime in the new year.

We’ve just had our second round of manufacturing protos through, just a few minor tweaks left now to make I think.

So this is unlikely to be a modification we can purchase for our existing case but a new one? I have the Pibow Coupe 5 (Case for Raspberry Pi 5) – Royale (pimoroni.com) currently and am experimenting with longer bolts + standoffs.

Could you tell us an approximate date when the case will be released? Thank you!

We don’t have a solid ETA but it’s definitely getting closer - I think we’ve got a final design we’re happy with now and we just need to sort out mounting hardware/bolt packs etc.

Maybe it’s time for another update? It would be cool if you could send some pictures :-)

Raspberry 6 will probably be released sooner than this improvement. Seriously how hard is it to manufacture a bigger case ? It would be understandable if it was your first attempt in making cases, but it’s one of the things you are kind of famous in a way. What takes you a year to “invent” this ?

Thank you for the update. A huge disappointment, but at least we have closure - a year long wait for pibow case compatible with nvme base ended up in a product that is not a pibow case…
