No response from Dock

Hi gadgetoid,

The offline installation logs say it was unsuccessful in finding the 1.58 versions. Also, after the install completed, and a reboot, now what I see is “Unable to open pid file” when running “flotilla” in the terminal. However, now it looks like it is working as I can open the UI and connect. Thank you so much for your help!

Hi writing from Germany so sorry for our english.
We did everything what was written here but we can t bring rockpool to see the dock.
Do we need to make any changes like aktivating or deactivating camera or something else?
Do we Need to use Lan or is WLAN ok?
Do you have any further idears?
We are sitting here since two days trying all what was suggested here. Finally we tryed your offline Version but it did not work. Whow do we delete the offline installer?
We are compleetly new with raspberry Pi and FLotilla …so please if you have any help …in easy steps (((-:
We would be realy happy to start working with Flotlla.

Guten tag! Entschuldige meinen Deutsch. Ich spreche ein bisschen.

  • No other changes should be necessary, it’s purely USB
  • Either LAN or WAN is fine

vielleicht kann ich Euch auf Deutsch weiter helfen.
Welche Version von Raspbian habt ihr installiert? Habt ihr eine Verbindung per WLAN oder Ethernet Kabel herstellen können?

Ja das ist besser 😊. Wir benutzen WLAN. Wir hatten eine fertige Noobs mini SD dabei die wir dann upgedatet haben. ( denken wir zumindest) Wenn du uns sagst wo wir die Versions Angabe finden können wir dir genauere Angaben machen.

Hi noch mal.
Wir können alles andere machen. Internet läuft und Anda hat im skratch auch schon kleine Sachen programmiert. Die Flotilla blinkt auch wie sie soll. Nur Rockpool findet sie nicht auch wenn wir die Raspberry PI IP eingeben.

Gute Morgen ;)

sorry für die Verspätung. Das ist klingt schon mal sehr gut.

Bitte testet folgende Schritte:

  • Flotilla Dock per USB verbinden
  • Raspberry Pi anschalten
  • mit dem Internet verbinden
  • Im Terminal (normalerweise oben in der Leiste das Fenstersymbol) folgende Zeilen eingeben:
git clone http://github.com/pimoroni/flotilla-offline
cd flotilla-offline
sudo ./install

(kann man auch kopieren und aus der Ablage per Rechtsklick einfügen)

Ich hoffe das hilft euch erstmal weiter, wenn nicht meldet euch! ;)
