I have an older 8" picade x hat with the usb micro connection. However, I just picked up a usb-c replacement and I am getting the same issue.
It has no sound and I keep seeing errors that it can not find sound. I believe I have done updates, not 100% sure on this. I have run the curl command.
Everything else works fine.
