I’m using a Raspberry pi 3 + in my car as a server (music, movies, Dlna, internet etc) and it’s great. The sound from the Raspberry jack 3.5 mm is not that great and I bought the Pi Dac Pro (IQaudIODAC). The sound is good, clear but is kinda flat with no bass. I’m sure that it’s a MPD configuration problem but I don’t know where.
My /etc/mpd.conf audio setup is:

Today I installed raspicast (chromecast alternative for raspberry) and I streamed a couple of audio from youtube. The sound is very different…with clear bass and good sound
