Hi Guys,
Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this, the other forums didn’t seem to fit either.
This is a request for a potential new product. I was wondering if would be possible for a slightly large version of the pibow case that could hold a traditional mechanical laptop hard drive, and perhaps incorporate some additional features at the same time for example a realtime clock, and a on/off button.
I’m not sure how this would work, but could the slice case be used instead perhaps? the only issue is that this uses the compute module and not the raspberry pi 3 or so on boards, so may need a major redesign.
If you was able to do something, this would be nearest competing product http://uk.farnell.com/element14/pi-desktop/element-14-pi-desktop-hatencl/dp/2687142
I’m not particular interest in that product due to using expensive msata drives, as those aren’t as cheap as laptop hard drives as storage increases.
Thanks,
