Picade Help please

Hi there lovely peoples…

I have been playing around with Pi for a few years (but still have soooo much to learn) and decided to purchase the mini picade console box. I have put it all together and inserted my pre used Retro Pi model 3b which has always worked with no issues. The power switch works, however I can’t remap the stick and buttons. I have checked all connections which seem ok. Am I missing a line of code? or should it just work???

please help.

Did you do the picade hat install?

So I’ve tried the above and its failing to connect to pimeroni
