I am using 8Ω, 5W speakers on the 3W Speaker Amp. So far everything is installed on the latest Raspberry Pi Os with the provided script and running on a Raspberry Pi 4. Unfortunately the speakers are extremely loud and distorted even on the lowest volume. Any ideas?
What are you using as your audio source and how are you controlling the volume from the pi?
I have some experience with the 3w speaker bonnet and this required a very low ALSA mixer level in software to make it sound ok.
I’ve tried youtube and vlc so far. I am using pulseaudio to control the volume. Having a look at alsamixer, the card hifiberry_dac does not support adjustment of the audio level
