The nursing home that my Wife is in had an outbreak of Covid. It was in another wing. I went to visit my wife yesterday in her wing and took precautions, mask etc. I’ve been feeling terrible all day. I did two quick tests about an hour apart and they both showed positive. Body temp is 38.2, moderate fever. Light headed with a migraine. Looks like I got it anyway. :(
Add to this that I suffer from severe chronic back and neck pain, and life right now is no fun at all. =( My overall pain level is 6 bordering on 7 out of 10. I can cope with it, with my pain meds. But if it goes much higher I’m going to be in big trouble.
Make sure you take care of yourself, and I hope you feel better soon. Sadly it’s very hard to be really confident that you won’t catch it.
All the best wishes from my side. Incidentally, I also had it (the very first time), starting from first of September. No idea where I picked it up. Only light symptoms, but it took ten days until I was negative again. I hope somebody can take care of you.
It’s just me the cat and the dog here on the homestead. My daughter will be the go to person if need be. Put in a very rough night, but don’t feel too bad right now. Even though I’m talking about it, sitting at my PC and doing forum stuff takes my mind off of it.

This was 12 days ago. I hope you are feeling much better now. I was really blown away when I got it.
I don’t really feel much better to be honest. I’ll do another home test tomorrow and see if I’m still testing positive.
Did a test on Sunday and it came back Negative. Will do another one today or tomorrow to make sure its done and gone. I need two negative tests in a row 48 hours apart to be sure its over. I have two test kits left. I’ll probably go pick up anther kit just to have a couple on hand. One box has 5 full test kits in it.

I hope you’re feeling better by now. My parents got it last week, but thankfully not too badly.
I’m all OK now. I just did a test and its also negative. I’m about back to my normal self. It’s nice to be able to do stuff and not have to wear a mask and gloves, and be self conscience about everything you touch. I had to make a grocery run while still ill.
Getting sick is always hard and when I got COVID a few years ago it totally blew me away. Glad to hear you are feeling better
