I bought the 13.3" display from Adafruit. It’s been working great for a couple of weeks now (love the color!!), arrived with good packaging/great condition. I’ve had great success over the last couple of weeks, working to make a dynamic “painting”, generating new images of my cat once per day as a family conversation piece (going to get it framed nicely on the wall 😆). The examples have also been working well.
However, this morning the top and right side stopped rendering. I’ve tried pulling out the ribbon and putting it back squarely with same results. Running the reset and other samples have the same result.
Did I ruin this device? Is there still hope?
I did place this face down occasionally while exploring/developing. No abrupt placement or sharp edges touching it. The only thing I can think of is that there’s a slight skuff near the middle tiny rectangle at the top. Perhaps face down was a bad idea?
I saved up my pennies for a while on this one. I’m sad and will have some chocolate or something (or perhaps just pet my cat). Thanks for taking a look! ❤️
