Do the gpio pins need to be ( for lack of better words - turned on or off) ? I ask because the hyperpixel4 works when used on a pi 4 but does only displays a back light / black screen on pi 400. And yes iv followed the install guide many many times. Thanks for any advice in advance 🙏
The installer “should” turn on and setup what is needed GPIO wise, for the hyperpixel to work, regardless of what model Pi its plugged into. That being said, if you have had anything else setup on the GPIO header prior to installing the Hyperpixel it may be messing up the install. You don’t want i2c, SPI, or 1wire etc enabled, before running the installer. The hyperpixel uses all of the GPIO pins and repurposes them all too special functions.
