Mote on Ubuntu 16.04

Hi,

Just got my Mote kit the other day, have plugged it in to my Ubuntu powered laptop and unfortunately it doesn’t seem to be able to ‘see’ the Mote (I get IOError: Unable to find Mote device). I’ve tried it in a variety of ports and the lights go through a power-up cycle which suggests all is good, so do you have any ideas/suggestions as to how I might get this to work?

I do have a Pi to work with but in the first instance just wanted to run some tests from my laptop…

OK, so 5 minutes later and I’ve answered my own question - the USB cable I was using seems to have been the fault, it now works! :)
