Picade HDMI No Signal

New PICADE build. Display says “No Signal”. I can drive an external display with my PICADE fine. Another RPi I have, when connected to the PICADE display, also says “No Signal”.

What can I check?

I hate to have to return my PICADE.

Hi

You need to add
hdmi_force_hotplug=1
To your config.txt file

The issue is caused by powering the display from the Pi which means the display is powered after the Pi and the Pi auto detect chooses the composite output instead of HDMI.

I thought I saw when the PICADEHAT was installing that it also took care of that.
