Hi everyone,
I’ve been given a Raspberry Pi 4 Model B (from around 2018) for educational use, but I can’t get it to boot.
As soon as I plug in power, both the red and green LEDs turn on solid and never blink. There’s no HDMI signal or SD card activity.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
-
Multiple SD cards (Samsung 128 GB + SanDisk 16 GB)
-
Fresh images written with Raspberry Pi Imager (32-bit and 64-bit OS)
-
Official bootloader recovery image
-
Different known-good USB-C power supplies
Same result every time — solid red and green, no flashing.
Does that LED pattern usually mean the board is dead, or is there anything else I can try to recover it?
Thanks in advance for any advice!
Eliott
