Supplied Picade X USB-C power cord not working

A pair of issues here. I purchased a Picade console from MicroCenter a week or so ago. I built it this evening.

  1. The supplied USB power cord does not supply power to the PicadeX hat. I can boot the Raspberry Pi4 if I plug in my Raspberry Pi 27W USB-C directly into the Raspberry Pi 4 so I know my supply is good. If I follow the instructions and use the supplied short panel mount USB-C cable plugged into the PicadeX hat it will not power on. If I plug my USB-C supply directly into the PicadeX hat, the hat boots the system. There appears to be a bad cable here. Can Pimoroni please send me a functional cable please?

  2. The second issue is that the system hangs with a blank screen. It successfully boots as I see text going by, but it hangs with a blank screen. Can someone from PiMoroni help me get this console working please? Its a gift and its not working.
